Mt. Ranier- Yes- Summer- Yippeeee!

Hello everyone,

I am having too much fun... I spent 3 days on Mt. Rainier and I smiled a bit on the top... it was the most difficult climb of my life with lots of glaciers and very steep climbing... I felt so awesome when step by step I made it up and down the tallest mountain in our neighborhood... wow...

More fun is on the way and I am going to visit my mom and sister next week in Baltimore and Washington DC...

Thanks for letting us know how you are doing!

Love and Light to the Blenders....

Jeff, what are you up to? Have you been traveling? Visiting family? Played any good games?

I wonder what the fifth graders are up to so far this summer and what they are thinking about the Middle School.

I am still tired from my climbing trip and so excited... it was so awesome among the giant glaciers! It was also rewarding to know that slow and steady, even on a glacier, will get you to the top eventually. Mt. Rainier is a big mountain and I am very respectful of it!

Take care and enjoy!

Peace and Light,

Mark

Hi guys. a Fifth grader here! My summer is pretty good exept (I said this on the other summer one) that my dad crashed his motorcycle and broke his left hand and left leg. He has a metal rod in his leg and two plates in his hand. My mom and I are nursing him back to health as best as we can. Mark, to answer your question, I'm excited but scared about Middle School. It's like leaving home and my family (the Blenders.) I LOVED Let me repeat L-O-V-E-D the 5th grade back packing trip!!!!! But I can't go back now. I'm gonna miss you guys alot. I'm sad that I only got to be with Jeff for one year. :(. Well, gotta go, dad's calling me. Bye!

Hi Everyone,

Venus, I am soo sorry about Merlin. I know you and your family must be sad. Do want to say what happened?

I just came home from visiting my family in Baltimore and Washington. It was a lot of fun and I ate lots of interesting foods. I also went to many museums in Washington. On Wednesday I went to the Native American Museum and it was amazing- I learned a lot. It was so hot on the east coast and I was glad it cooled down here a bit. I am going next week to Utah and Idaho. I am looking forward to some hotsprings and the Rocky Mountains.

Take care,

Mark...

PS I will post the supply list on the Blender web site next week.

Enjoy the last weeks of summer.

Mark, how was renier? 14,114'?

Speaking of hiking, over the summer, I did a two week backpacking camp in the trinity Alps in Northern Cal with people from all over the country. I hiked a total of over 37 miles (22 with a 20+ pound pack.) now I'm ready for the fifth grade trip. I saw some buitiful lakes.

well Peace and harmony,
