What I say... Thank you Lynnette for teaching me so many things! When I saw your painted toes the last time, I thought, wow, purple toes... that is way cool. I smiled and felt your strength... thank you

Our Dear Lynette,
I was awed with your ability to join in the Blender Family and share your peaceful, gentle, beautiful and loving spirit with all of us who had the opportunity to be around you. "Still waters run deep."
You and your family have our love with you.

Lynette, you left us far too soon. In this deep sadness at the loss we all are feeling, we also just feel so grateful for all you gave to our family and to our community. Quinny loved you so, as did every student who was blessed to be with you.

Your passing is a flowing into mystery. Tomorrow we celebrate your life. Here's a poem from Rainer Maria Rilke I say with your radiant spirit in mind:

Silent friend of many distances, feel
how your breath enlarges all of space.
Let your presence ring out like a bell
into the night. What feeds upon your face

grows mighty from the nourishment thus offered.
Move through transformation, out and in.
What is the deepest loss that you have suffered?
If drinking is bitter, change yourself into wine.

In this immeasurable darkness, be the power
that rounds your senses in their magic ring,
the sense of their mysterious encounter.

And if the earthly no longer knows your name,
whisper to the silent earth: I'm flowing.
To the flashing water say: I am.

We all know Lynette was a great teacher, but that's not the bad part of her passing, the reason it's sad, is she's a great, very nice and caring person. She was a great person and she changed the Blenders that year and was
a very important person in the Blenders.
The Blenders will always remeber and love Lynnette for the rest of our lives.

Lynnette, I know that I only knew you for a year, but that time with you was great. I remember the camping trip, going skiing, hiking and so much more. I know those trips just won't be the same with out you. I'm sorry your time with the Blenders was so short but I was glad we got the chance to have you here with us. I think we were all lucky to know such a caring person.

I got to know Lynnette the very first year she came to Ashland. She taught my daughter Natalie, who was six then and now she's 23. Then Elon had Lynnette for two years and now Avi has gotten to know her as well. When kids made mistakes Lynnette used to say they were happy mistakes because you could learn from them. We still use that phrase today. Elon loved her because she would let him stay in from recess and look through the microscope. Also, he added backwards, and she told him that was ok. When Elon was finishing second grade Lynnette told him to go to the Blenders, and she was right.

What I remember about Lynnette was how gentle she was, and deeply caring and courageous. She jumped into the middle the Blender whirl for the first time ever last year and she swam right with wild current. In time she made her own sense of it. It became her river too.
It was wonderful to work with her and to see how she taught the children with all her skill and determination and patience. She brought out the very best in each one and loved them just as they were.
I loved her laugh, her sign language for "sit on your bottom" that the kids always signed to eachother with meaningful looks and no words, her love for art and travel and how she communicated that to the kids through her being.
I think my favorite memory is of her at night, sitting in the midst of all the Blender famiies by the group campfire at Jedediah Smith during the fall campout. The light of the campfire is shining on her face and she looks very peaceful and at home.
Thanks Lynnette for sharing your being with us.
with happiness in knowing you and with appreciation and love, steph

At times, you will definately get anxious should you not have something to look forward to in the future. When you are internet dating somebody, program a getaway a few several weeks in advance. This provides you with one thing in the future to acquire excited about each time you really feel lower. Gitutyyt
